A nurse has taken to social media to express her frustration after encountering a husband who said he wouldn’t feed his wife following childbirth, due to medical advice that she avoid intimacy for a month because of her episiotomy stitches.
In her post on X (formerly Twitter), she detailed a case involving a patient who had undergone an episiotomy. The woman was brought back to the hospital by her husband because her stitches had started to come undone.
Upon their arrival, the husband was visibly angry, blaming the hospital staff for what he perceived as poor stitching. Initially, the nurse thought he was genuinely concerned for his wife’s well-being, but her perspective changed after speaking with him.
“I’m so irritated. My patient had an episiotomy, and her stitches got loose, so she came back for suturing today,” she recounted. “Her husband was screaming and insulting the nurses on duty, claiming we didn’t do our job right, all while we tried to calm him down.”
After the procedure, the husband expressed his frustration, stating that the staff didn’t understand how the situation would affect him. “He declared he would sue us, stating, ‘This is my wife, not my girlfriend.’ At first, I thought he was genuinely worried about her health,” she said.
However, the situation took a troubling turn when they advised him that he shouldn’t have sex with his wife for a month. The husband shockingly replied, “That means she no go chop now.” The nurse recalled, “I almost died when he said that, and his mother was laughing like it was a joke. I was furious! He kept insisting he ‘needs’ her and that we had ruined his chance to relieve stress.”

In his remarks, the husband openly stated that if his wife didn’t show intimacy, she wouldn’t get to eat.
As her post went viral, many users expressed their outrage and concern in the comments.

– **@momentswtbreezy**: “That stitch didn’t come loose by itself. That man is HORRIBLE.”
– **@lorlie_b**: “He’s being dishonest because I’m of the opinion that the stitches got loose because he had sex with her. I have witnessed this same scenario; the only difference is that the husband opened up about having sex with the woman 7 days after delivery.”
– **@dimma_olivia**: “God!!! I don’t think I can work in health care in this country o, I’d probably lose my license cause what???”
