Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Wizkid has just released his latest single, “Kese Dance”, in the early hours of Friday, much to the excitement of his global fanbase. The energetic track is widely believed to be the second single off his much-anticipated album, Morayo, which is set to drop on November 22, 2024.
Kese Dance invites listeners to the dance floor, with its infectious rhythm and vibrant energy. The song’s lyrics, including the catchy line, *“Chale make we dance gbedu, the music e dey play gbedu, omo say we go dance gbedu,”* are an open invitation to celebrate life through movement, making it the ultimate anthem for anyone ready to dance, day or night.
This new release comes after the success of “Piece of My Heart,” a collaboration with American singer-songwriter Brent Faiyaz. With *Kese Dance*, Wizkid continues to showcase his versatility, offering fans a glimpse of what to expect from *Morayo*.
In a recent announcement, Wizkid revealed that his upcoming album is a tribute to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.
The album is also significant as Wizkid confirmed that it will be distinct from his usual Afrobeats sound.
“Morayo is not an Afrobeats project,” he said, adding, *“Album name ‘Morayo’ best I ever made. I am not an Afrobeats artiste. Don’t call me that. If you like Afrobeats, please don’t download my album, I’m not Afro anything.”*
