The Lagos State Government has announced plans to celebrate the Badagry Heritage Festival on December 27, 2024, at the Theatre Building in the historic town of Badagry.

The event, organized by Solomon, who also serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, was attended by numerous residents and featured various performances.

According to Solomon, the state has planned several exciting activities to mark the celebration of the heritage festival.

“Many other events are lined up to celebrate the Christmas and New Year. This includes the Social Media Awards on December 26, the Heritage Festival on December 27, the Coconut Heritage Festival on December 28, and a host of other entertainments,” Solomon said.

“The performance today was great. Choirs from different churches came to sing songs here and to cap it up, when the gospel singer, Serah Apekeola, came on stage, it was marvelous and superb,” Solomon said.

He added that the event saw many residents from all three councils in Badagry dancing and celebrating, which brought him great joy.

“Many residents from all the three councils in Badagry danced and praised the Lord; that is my joy at this Christmas celebration,” he remarked.

Solomon took the opportunity to thank several key figures for their support in promoting Badagry.

“I want to use this opportunity to thank Governor Sanwo-Olu; his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat; Speaker of LAHA, Mudashiru Obasa, and my colleagues in the house for allowing me to promote Badagry to another level,” Solomon concluded.
