Chelsea have reportedly joined Real Madrid and Liverpool in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe.
According to the Daily Record, PSG have encouraged Chelsea’s efforts to secure Mbappe’s signature following direct discussions with the Blues’ co-owner Todd Boehly over a potential transfer for the forward.
Chelsea, under the leadership of Boehly, are attempting to negotiate a player-plus-cash deal to bring the France international to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Mbappe’s future at PSG is currently unclear as he is yet to sign a new contract with the Parisians.
His contract with the French Ligue 1 champions will expire next summer.
Mbappe was made available for sale for €250million (£214million).
Meanwhile, Transfer speculations have surrounded Mbappe since it became clear he would not activate a one-year extension in his contract with PSG which would have kept him till 2025.
Saudi Pro League clubs have been spending huge sums this summer to sign players from Europe. Al-Hilal are one of four teams in the country owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, which has majority ownership of Newcastle United, and have signed Rúben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Kalidou Koulibaly.
The 24-year-old has an ultimatum: Leave this summer on a transfer, extend his contract, or sit on the bench. As PSG begins to phase out their superstar, it means scrapping him from promotional material.
Mbappé’s presence was removed from a graphic promoting PSG’s contest against Al-Nassr on Tuesday. As a result, the Ligue 1 giants are slowly leaving him behind.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is currently training with players who will not be part of Luis Enrique’s project. Mbappé must decide where this goes, or it could be a long 2023-24 season.
