Famous music producer, Don Jazzy has disclosed an addition to the Mavin Records family.
Naija News gathered Don Jazzy, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the record label Mavin Records, took to his Twitter handle on Wednesday evening to unveil a new female artist, Lifesize Teddy.
Introducing the artiste, Don Jazzy said she is a rapper, poet, singer, and songwriter.
The music producer wrote, “Unveiling a new artist is a reminder of how an artist has let themselves go through the laid down process of the Mavin academy, the testament of our faith in them and the coming together of our hard work.
“With the power vested in me by the Supreme Mavin Dynasty it’s my pleasure to introduce you to Mavin’s latest signee. Rapper, poet, singer, and songwriter Lifesize Teddy. Pls, follow and welcome Lifesize Teddy.”
According to the video accompanying Don Jazzy’s post, Lifesize Teddy’s EP is expected to drop at midnight on Wednesday.
Popular Music producer Don Jazzy has opened up on the reason he could not sign Afrobeat stars, Davido and Wizkid to Mo’ Hits, the now-defunct record label.
Don Jazzy, alongside D’banj, co-founded Mo’ Hits Records in 2006 but the label dissolved in 2012.
Speaking in a recent podcast chat with Fisayo Fosudo, the Mavin boss explained that he was unable to sign Wizkid because Banky W’s EME got to him first.
He said it could have been “amazing” if he had signed Wizkid to his label.
“Wizkid, obviously, I could not (sign), because Banky got to him first. That would have been amazing,” he said.
Meanwhile in an interview Mavin huncho Don Jazzy has said business owners, particularly in this clime, must necessarily set aside what he termed ‘eventuality funds’.
