Nasarawa United Football Club has embarked on a pre-season tour in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, ahead of the 2023/2024 Nigerian National League, NNL, campaign.
This was announced by the club’s media officer, Eche Amos, in a statement on Thursday after they arrived at the nation’s capital on Wednesday, 18th October 2023.
According to Eche, the team would play some high-profile matches to equip them for the task ahead.
The media officer said the choice for Abuja was to keep them close to their fans and also the unique features and benefits which align with the team’s goals.
“We are pleased to announce to our fans and public that we arrived in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, safely on Wednesday, 2023, for our Pre-Season tour ahead of the 2023/24 Nigeria National League, NNL, campaign.
“During our stay in Abuja, the club will play some high-profile and exciting friendly matches against some of the most challenging teams, and in no chronological order, beginning with category C, to B and then A.
“The club opted for Abuja because of its shared, unique features and benefits, which align with our goals, especially in areas of passion for football and proximity to our fan base.
“The 2023/24 NNL campaign kicks off on Saturday, 28th October 2023, with our first match against visiting Jedo FC at the Lafia City Stadium.
“We will keep our fans and public updated with our Pre-Season activities,” the statement reads.
