The New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP has tasked President Bola Tinubu with the economic recovery of the state.
The opposition party said this in a congratulatory message to Tinubu on his recent victory at the Supreme Court on Thursday.
In a letter personally signed by The National Secretary of NNPP, Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday, the party called on the Tinubu to be magnanimous in victory by making sure that opposition political parties are given ample opportunities to contribute their quotas to national development.
“We congratulate President Bola Tinubu on his confirmation as the legitimate president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the Supreme Court. The landmark judgement has put to rest all litigations emanating from the 2023 presidential election. It’s now time for the president to hit the ground running by making sure that governance is giving priority above politics.”

The party, however, expressed readiness ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
“As a major opposition political party, we are going back to the drawing board to prepare ahead for the 2027 presidential election. NNPP is out to present a credible alternative to the president in 2027. Meanwhile, all hands must be on deck to jointly work for a united and prosperous Nigeria.
