Nollywood actress, Carolyna Hutching, has voiced her distress on social media following a life threatening encounter at the Ashluxury store in Lekki, Lagos.

JUST BECAUSE WE PARKED IN FRONT OF YOUR ALMIGHTY BUILDING WAITING FOR AB UBER. Pls get ready to pay for damages. The way you treat people says a lot about your brand. @ashluxe”
According to Hutchings, the incident which also involved veteran actress Shan George and three other individuals started when she took Shan George on a ride to her destination but was unable to get to the location due to traffic. She then ordered an Uber and parked in front of an Ashluxe store to wait for the ride to come pick her colleague.
Hutchings further explained, they were only packed for less than 15 minutes in front of the Ashluxury store in Lekki, Lagos waiting for an Uber. Some minutes after, a man came to their car and ordered them to leave the premises.
Caroline noted that she pleaded for few more minutes to wait for the Uber ride but the man insisted and called the firm’s police on them.

She said despite there being no visible ‘no parking’ sign, inadequate lighting, and apparent security measures, they were aggressively confronted by men in plain clothes, even after her spy policeman pleaded with them to be patient.
Later, two men came, hurling insults at them and insisted they leave the premises before spraying them teargas.

The actress said “There was no violence or weapon from my side, the man who claimed to be a police was only wearing a white kaftan intentionally sprayed tear gas at me, Shan George and other occupants of the vehicle, he later went into the ash luxury premises.”

According to her, after this unfortunate incident, she was hospitalized. However, “There has been no public or private apology or acknowledgment from the branding regarding the life-threatening event,” she said.

Hutchings, on her Instagram post, called out the out Olayinka Ashogbon, the manager of Ashluxe to express her disappointment. “Yinka you have NO BUSINESS running a ‘luxury company‘ you lack empathy and regards especially towards women. Till date you are yet to apologise, your brand is yet to reach out to all affected, neither have you made an effort to my knowledge to hand over the attacker to the authorities for questioning and investigation” she wrote

She continued “From the records you are rude and uncouth and care less about anyone as long as your business is running , I have no desire to stop your business but I won’t let you hurt me for nothing. The attacker is your staff ( even tho he claimed to be a police official which has to be confirmed ) and as long as you keep protecting him , you would face the music.”

She also threatened legal action against the firm over the act.
