Oyo Water Corporation Restores Supply After Years of Disruption

The Oyo Water Corporation announced on Saturday that it has successfully restored water supply to residents in several areas of the state, following years of service disruptions caused by technical challenges.

In a statement from the Corporation’s Chairman, Hon. Elias Adeojo, it was noted that repairs to leakages and bursts on various water pipelines within the state are still ongoing. “Operations have since commenced at major waterworks and booster stations to complement water supply to Ibadan and environs,” he stated.

Areas that have seen a restoration of water supply include Molete, Bode, Labiran, Beyeruka, the Eleyele axis, and Bashorun-Oluwo nla, among others. Hon. Adeojo assured residents of improved service delivery, urging them to use the water supply prudently.

He emphasized the Corporation‘s commitment to maintenance, stating, “Efforts have been put in place to ensure prompt repairs of facilities as soon as they are detected or reported by the public.”

“The agency under my supervision would do everything possible to ensure that the recently restored potable water supply to Ibadan and environs is sustained,” he added, highlighting the Corporation’s focus on long-term solutions.

Adeojo also solicited the understanding of consumers in affected areas for any inconveniences and reassured the public of a steady water supply moving forward. “Let me assure residents of Ibadan and environs of adequate potable water supply as all factors like leakages and burst pipes mitigating against the Oyo State Water Corporation are being tackled with accurate precision,” he remarked.

Furthermore, he stated, “The Corporation would deploy its personnel and machine to restore potable water to other parts of the State as soon as all the faults in Ibadan are resolved.”

In a bid to enhance responsiveness, Hon. Adeojo called on residents to report any detected pipe leakages and bursts by calling the Corporation’s emergency line at 08077033774 for prompt action by the Corporation’s engineers.
