Nigerian R&B star Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has announced his relocation to the United States with his family.
The renowned music artist and founder of Empire Mates Entertainment shared the news on Instagram, revealing that he will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
In a heartfelt post, Banky W shared a photo of himself, his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington, and their child at the airport. He expressed his excitement for this new chapter, encouraging his followers to send their best wishes.
“For family. For finding purpose. For the next year of earning a Master’s degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington DC. Wish us well,” he wrote on Monday.

Adesua, who married Banky W in 2017 and shares a son with him, responded in the comments section, stating, “Home is wherever you are.”
