Victor Boniface has been ruled out of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with a groin injury.
The 23-year-old is expected to return to Germany, where he will begin treatment for the injury.
The injury is expected to keep Boniface out for around six weeks.
The striker sustained the injury during one of the team’s training sessions in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
A decision is expected to be made on his replacement soon.

OGC Nice forward Terem Moffi is favoured to replace him in the 25-man squad.
