Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has been released from police custody nearly a week after being detained for allegedly defaming his colleague, Davido.
The controversy began when Dammy Krane accused Davido of being involved in the death of their mutual friend, Tagbo, and made claims about Davido’s personal life.
Last week, Dammy Krane cried out to the public, stating that he had been arrested over an alleged defamation involving the sensational musician, Davido.
He also made further allegations against Davido, claiming that the artist paid authorities to falsely accuse him of being involved in a cryptocurrency and Flutterwave scam.
During his arrest, he also warned that Davido should be held accountable if anything happens to him.
While this is a recent allegation, there were additional claims made against the singer. These included accusations related to Tagbo’s death and the assertion that Davido only got married because his fiancée, Chioma, caught him cheating.

But in a recent video shared by VeryDarkMan, the social media activist, Krane can be seen celebrating his release.
Krane apologised to Davido for the allegations he had made against him. He also appreciated the police commissioner in Abuja and VeryDarkMan for his support.
“I wanna say a big thank you to my brother. I know there are a lot of words that ought not to be said. I know. I want to apologise for this Tagbo death allegation. Make you una still remember David is my brother. And we are going to find a major ground to resolve everything,” he said.

According to informaton gathered, it turn out that Davido chose to drop all charges against him, leading to Dammy Krane’s release.
