Social media platform X owner, Elon Musk, has congratulated football legend Cristiano Ronaldo after his two goals in Al-Nassr’s 3-1 victory over Al-Gharafa in the AFC Champions League on Monday night.
The match, which took place at Al Bayt Stadium, saw Ronaldo’s team, Al-Nassr, secure a vital win in their fifth Group B game of the competition. Prior to the match, Al-Nassr sat in third place in the group standings.
The first half ended without a goal, but the game quickly came to life after the break. Ronaldo gave the visitors the lead just after the restart, scoring in the 46th minute with a powerful finish from a cross by Sultan Al-Ghannam.
In the 58th minute, Al-Nassr doubled their advantage with Angelo Gabriel scoring after a well-executed one-two with Otavio.
Ronaldo then struck again in the 64th minute, sealing his brace and extending his team’s lead to 3-0.

Although Al-Gharafa responded with a goal from former Real Madrid striker Joselu in the 75th minute, the home side was unable to mount a comeback.
After the game, Ronaldo shared a post on his X account, featuring images from his goal celebration.
He captioned it: “Big win tonight!”
Elon Musk, who has been active in congratulating athletes and public figures, responded to Ronaldo’s post with a brief but supportive message: “Congrats!”
