Victor Osimhen was in a buoyant mood as he resumed pre-season training with Serie A champions, Napoli on Tuesday.
The Napoli squad are currently having their pre-season activities at Dimarco Folgarida, Italy.
Osimhen was granted an extended break by the club following his involvement in Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone in June.
The 24-year-old was pictured in training with his teammates.
Napoli also confirmed his arrival with some of his teammates via a statement on their official website.
“Meret Rrahmani, Ostigard, Zielinski, Raspadori, Lobotka, Kvaratskhelia, Elmas, Osimhen also arrived in Dimaro and carried out the physical and medical tests,” reads the statement.
There have been speculations surrounding the 24-year-old’s future following his impressive displays for Napoli last season.
The forward was the top scorer in Serie A last season with 26 goals from 32 appearances.
Earlier, Napoli manager, Rudi Garcia, has claimed Victor Osimhen is “happy” to stay at the club ahead of the new season.
Garcia revealed this while speaking to reporters on Saturday.
The new boss of the Serie A champions also confirmed that defender Kim Min-Jae is leaving the club.
Min-Jae has reportedly undergone medicals with Bayern Munich and will sign a long-term deal with the Bundesliga champions.

“We know that Kim Min-jae is leaving, we’re sad but I hope to keep all our stars.
“I can guarantee that Osimhen wants to stay at Napoli. He’s happy here and he wants to do great things,” Garcia said.
