Fireboy DML Announces Release Date for Fourth Album ‘Adedamola’

Fireboy DML, the Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer Adedamola Adefolahan, has officially announced his upcoming album, ‘Adedamola’ on August 29.

The 28-year-old award-winning artiste announced the body of work via an Instagram post on Tuesday.

The Abeokuta-born and raised singer also shared the album cover for the new project.

Hailing from Abeokuta, Fireboy’s latest project, titled after his first name, signals a departure from the hedonistic themes of his previous work, moving towards more introspective and emotional narratives.

The hitmaker had previously released tracks from the album such as ‘Obaa Sima’, ‘Yawa’, and ‘Every Day’.

Nigerian singer and songwriter Fireboy DML took to the social media platform Instagram to announce the release date of his upcoming album, “Adedamola,” which will be released on August 29th.

The title ‘Adedamola’, which is derived from Fireboy’s first name, indicates a shift from the hedonistic themes that characterized his previous album toward the more introspective and emotional subject matter.

From the pre-save tracklist available on various streaming services, the album will feature lead singles ‘Yawa’ and ‘Obaa Sima’, both released in 2023, along with his latest single ‘Every day’.

Fireboy’s constant releases in the music industry made him one of this generation’s most talented songwriters. Taking a two-year break after the release of his sophomore album, Fireboy DML returned to the spotlight with a new album titled “Playboy” in 2022, an album that featured Asake, Chris Brown, Ed Sheeran, and Shensea.

His earlier albums also made a significant impact on the music scene. His debut album, “Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps,” released in 2019, was widely embraced by the Nigerian public, leading to the release of his sophomore album, “APOLLO,” in 2020.

Although the tracklist for the new album is yet to be revealed, it can be promised that the Nigerian singer will deliver incredible sounds, exciting visuals, and sonorous vocals to match the loverboy aesthetic he has always proven himself to be.
