Hajj 2024: NAHCON warns intending pilgrims against scams

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON has warned intending pilgims against scammers who may request for payment of administrative chàrges from pilgrims aside the 1.9 million increase as earlier announced by the çommission.

A statement signed by Assistant Director public affairs NAHCON Fatima Sanda Usara stated that, the commission has warned intending pilgrims regarding payment of extra Hajj fares.

It was stated in the statement that, the Commission has not requested intending pilgrims to pay any additional administrative charges beyond the stated additional amount of 1.9 million naira fare increase.

It further warned that any one that makes such a request for payment of administrative chàrges on behalf of NAHCON is violating the role and responsibility of NAHCON as the Hajj regulatory body.

“Collection of any extra charges are not authorized. Any pilgrim asked to pay extra charges should forward name of person making the request and location, along with evidence of the request or payment as shown below.”
