Sensational Nigerian singer, John Ighodaro, better known as Johnny Drille, has clarified that his relationship with fast-rising actress, Tomi Ojo, is strictly platonic.
DAILY POST recalls that Johnny Drille and Ojo were rumoured to be in a romantic relationship after she played his love interest in ‘Believe Me’ music video.
But in a recent interview with Hip TV, the Edo-born singer maintained they are “just friends.”
Johnny Drille made the clarification on the heels of the disclosure of his secret marriage to the Director A&R, Mavin Records, Rima Tahini.
He said, “First of all, if you watched the [‘Believe Me’ music] video, you would know that there are two Ojos in the song.

One is Wale Ojo, the other one is Tomi Ojo. It was in a way some kind of pun but it seemed to work well together.
“But as regards relationship, Tomi Ojo is an amazing person. She’s fantastic person to work with. She’s very great for the music video. That is the much I can say. That’s all I can say.”
Meanwhile, During the time of promoting his hit track, ‘Believe Me’, Johnny Drille and Ojo spurred dating speculations due to the scenes they portrayed in the music video which exuded deep romance.
As a result, shippers and online in-laws began mounting pressures on them to get married, insisting they made a great match.
But the recent display of the singer’s spouse on the internet has now doused every form of dating rumour between him and the actress who also took to her Twitter handle to react to the development.
Ojo shared a popular meme of a dwarf called Grand M from Mali, who doubles as a comedian and musician; starring at his phone with a straight face but almost giving off feeling of heartbreak.
Captioning the meme, she wrote: “Happy married life @Johnnydrille. Jesus loves you and your wife.”
