Lagos driver flees as BRT bus hits Air Force officer

In a shocking incident in Ikeja, Lagos State, on Friday, a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) vehicle struck and injured an unidentified Nigerian Air Force operative.

Following the collision, the BRT driver reportedly fled the scene upon realizing the severity of the officer’s injuries.

An eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous due to the sensitive nature of the incident, stated that the crash occurred around 2:00 p.m. near the Air Force Base. As of this report, the driver’s identity has not been confirmed.

Witnesses indicated that the driver was speeding when the BRT struck the officer, who was riding a motorcycle in the same lane.

Efforts by some miscreants to set the BRT bus on fire were quickly halted by nearby residents, passersby, and military personnel present at the scene.

A passenger on the BRT shared their harrowing experience, saying, “They nearly set our bus on fire. It was terrifying. I lost my scarf and notebook in the chaos. I had to run to the other side of the road,” said Wale.
