Laycon, a Nigerian singer and former Big Brother Naija winner, alleged on Wednesday in a viral post on his X account that DJ Neptune failed to pay him for their collaboration single ‘Nobody (Icons remix).’
Laycon has publicly accused DJ Neptune of withholding royalties for their 2020 collaborative song “Nobody (Icons Remix).”
In the viral post on X, Laycon, reality star accused Neptune of being silent for four years, and asked about the status of their agreement and payment split, emphasising the importance of honoring contracts in the music industry.
He wrote; “Abeg o, DJ Neptune how far my agreement and split for the ‘Nobody (Icons Remix)’ song though. Is it not still ready? Haba it’s been 4 years.”
DJ Neptune has yet to reply to Laycon’s allegations.
It should be recalled that the song ‘Nobody Icon remix,’ which also included Joeboy, was dedicated to followers of the BBNaija winner known as Icons in October 2020.
