NFF Sets February 25 Deadline For CAF B-License Coaching Course Registration

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that the deadline for registration for the upcoming CAF B-License Coaching Course is midnight on Tuesday, 25th February 2025. The four-month programme is scheduled to run from April to August this year.

According to the NFF Technical Director, Coach Augustine Eguavoen, the course aims to enhance the skills of Nigerian coaches and prepare them for current and future challenges.

It is open to both male and female coaches who meet the eligibility criteria.

“As I mentioned a few weeks ago, the CAF B-License course is part of the NFF’s strategic initiative to develop coaching expertise across the country. The course will be conducted in modules, running from April 7 to August 25, 2025. To be eligible, candidates must be active coaches, have a CAF C-License that they have utilized in the past two years, be able to read and write in English, possess basic computer skills along with a laptop, have a valid Gmail account, and submit a medical certificate confirming their physical and mental fitness for the course,” Eguavoen said.

“The response to this initiative has been overwhelmingly positive, which is why we have decided to advance the registration deadline. The new deadline for interested participants is now midnight on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.”

In 2024, the NFF successfully organised the first-ever CAF C-License programme exclusively for women, which saw participation from 30 female coaches, including several former Nigeria international players. The three-module course ran from July to September 2024.

The Nigeria Football Federation has also mandated that all 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) must hold the final matches of their 2025 President Federation Cup competition on Saturday, 22nd February or Sunday, 23rd February 2025.

In a statement addressed to secretaries of State Football Associations, NFF’s Director of Competitions, Ruth David, reiterated that final matches are to be played only on 22nd or 23rd February, except in special cases as approved by the NFF. Failure to adhere to this directive will result in a fine of N1,000,000 (One million naira only).

The National Play-Offs for this year’s competition have been scheduled for 5th March, with the National Draw set to take place a week later. The Round of 64 is scheduled for 19th March, the Round of 32 for 2nd April, and the Round of 16 for 16th April 2025. The quarter-finals are slated for 3rd and 4th May, with the semi-finals fixed for 17th and 18th May 2025.

The NFF remains committed to maintaining strict adherence to the tournament schedule to ensure a smooth and efficient competition.
