Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tobechukwu Okoh, popularly known as Peruzzi, has debunked the viral report that he wrote one of Burna Boy’s hit songs.
DAILY POST recalls that Peruzzi had boasted on his social media handle that he had written over 252 songs for the Nigerian music industry.
Some of his followers on social media had claimed that Burna Boy’s hit song was written by Peruzzi and further criticized Burna for allegedly using many songwriters while his fans hailed him for his lyrical prowess, referring to them as “lost children.”

In response, Peruzzi emphatically debunked the speculations.
On his official X, Peruzzi wrote, “Don’t give me credit for what I didn’t do.”
Meanwhile, A disc jockey, Maestro DJ Brown, has said that he collaborated with Davido Music Worldwide-signed Peruzzi and another artiste, Bahdboyife, on his new song titled, Ole, because of their vocal abilities.
In an interview with Sunday Scoop, he said, “Working with Peruzzi on the song was a dream come true. His exceptional vocal abilities, talent and dedication to his craft elevated the song to a new level. I am sure it will be well received by music lovers. I also worked with Bahdboyife on the song, and his ingenuity and passion could be felt.”
The singer stated that the song tells a compelling story of love and admiration, as the featured acts express their feelings towards their love interests, affectionately referring to them as ‘ole’ (thief in Yoruba language).”
Meanwhile, Singer Peruzzi has responded to speculations of him writing Burna Boy’s verse on the Grammy award-winning singer’s hit song, ‘Heaven’s Gate.’
Peruzzi, who is currently working on his new project Sabali in a post on his social media, reacted to a post that stated that the singer was the artist who wrote Burna Boy’s verse on the hit song Heaven’s Gate.
Heaven’s Gate was released by Burna in 2018 and was on his album Outside. Peruzzi debunked the speculation, stating that credit for what he did not do should not be given to him.
