The Nasarawa State Police command has arrested one Mrs Hauwa Sani alongside a two-year-old child, with 124 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition.
Keffi town is 33 kilometers and about a 40-minute drive from the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
A statement by the State Police Public Relations Officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramhan Nansel on Saturday mentioned that 124 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition concealed in a gallon of palm oil were recovered from the suspect.
He said the police personnel attached to Keffi Division had intercepted the suspect, on Friday at about 5:10 pm, following credible information.
The police spokesperson added that the suspect who hails from Doro village in Katsina was intercepted with a two-year-old baby.
According to the PPRO, a preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect received the supply of ammunition at Rafin Sanyi village in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
He said “Consequently, 124 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition concealed in a gallon of palm oil, one Tecno mobile phone, and N78,500 were recovered from the suspect as exhibits.
“Preliminary findings revealed that the suspect received a supply of ammunition at Rafin Sanyi village, Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa state.

He further emphasized that the suspected criminal “concealed the items in a gallon of palm oil en route to Katsina State before nemesis caught up with her.”
The police spokesman noted that the Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Umar Shehu Nadada, has ordered the transfer of the suspect and exhibit to the Force Intelligence Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja, for further investigation.
