In this thriving sphere, insights from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) shed light on the hospitality outlook from 2019 to 2023, projecting a robust 12% growth in Nigeria’s hospitality sector over the next five years.

Against this dynamic backdrop, hotel establishments are in fierce competition, strategically aligning themselves with influential figures and launching targeted advertising campaigns to establish their supremacy and win over their desired audience.

Nevertheless, the Nigerian populace has spoken, expressing their preferences for specific hotel accommodations.

In response, Nairametrics has meticulously analyzed data sourced from Google’s Nigerian Search Engine Results Page (SERP), ranking the nation’s top hotels.

7. Lagos Oriental Hotel-(9.3k)
Lagos Oriental Hotel, with a search volume of 9.3k from Nigerian users, is situated at 3 Lekki – Epe Expressway, Victoria Island.

The 5-star establishment costs an average nightly rate of approximately ₦184,710. Lagos Oriental Hotel owes its inception to the Tung family owners of Western Metal Products Company (WEMPCO).

WEMPCO was founded by businessman Mr K.F. Tung over half a century ago.

6. Federal Palace Hotel-(11.3k)
Coming in at sixth position is the Federal Palace Hotel, with a search volume of 11.3k as per Google’s data.

Its complex is situated along 6-8 Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island Lagos, this 5-star hotel combines accommodation with casino extravagance.

A night’s stay at the Federal Palace Hotel comes at an estimated ₦127,922, a figure gleaned from Google’s insights. Owned by Sun International, which has its operations traced back to South Africa since 1969.

5. Lagos Continental-(14.2k)
Lagos Continental comes in at the fifth position in the hierarchy of Nigeria’s most sought-after hotels, with a search volume of 14.2k.

It is located in Victoria Island Lagos, as it featured the re-opening of four bonds-featured the re-opening of four bonds featured accommodations which comes with an estimated price tag of ₦241,879.

3. Transcorp Hilton-(27.8k)
At third position with a search volume of 27.8k is the Transcorp Hilton Abuja. This luxurious 5-star hotel sits in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory- Abuja.

Located within a stone’s throw from Abuja National Mosque and Millennium Park (1 Aguiyi Ironsi Street), Transcorp Hilton Abuja costs an estimated ₦200,000 per night. The hotel is owned by Transcorp Hotels Plc.

Coming in second place is the 5-star Marriott Hotel, with a search volume of 45.9k visitors as per Google’s records.

Located at 122 Joel Ogunnaike Street, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, Marriott International bears the heritage of founders J. Willard and Alice Marriott, whose family legacy has guided the company since its inception in 1927.

Sourcing insights from Google, the average cost of an overnight stay at Marriott Hotel stands at approximately ₦195,623.

1. Radisson Blu Hotel-(48.3k)
In first place, with a search volume of 48.3k according to Google search results, is the Radisson Blu Hotel. With multiple outlets, its Ikeja outlet is located at 38-40 Isaac John Street, Lagos, and its Radisson Blu Anchorage outlet on 1a Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue, Victoria Island.

Staying at Radisson Blu Ikeja requires an average nightly accommodation expense of approximately ₦241,321, while the Victoria Island counterpart costs an average of ₦198,802.
